The North East of Scotland has so much to offer visitors - from castles to museums and whisky to coastlines - and the Northern HighLights Pass allows you to visit for less!

These are some of the most frequently asked questions

The Northern Highlights Pass is available for either a 2 or 5 day duration, for both adults and children.

Your Northern Highlights Pass is programmed to be activated the first time it is used at an attraction.

Passes are valid as follows: 
Your Pass is valid for the time period purchased i.e. the number of calendar days, so a 2-day pass first used on a Monday will be valid until 23:59 on Tuesday night, whatever time on Monday it was used.

Five day passes are valid for five consecutive days.
Validity is limited to 2020 from purchase. Simply show your pass at the admission desk or payment point for each attraction to gain discounted entry.

Passes permit one visit per attraction and do not permit same day re-entry.

Passes are not fast track passes.

Passes are non-transferable.

Northern Highlights Pass strongly recommend you check opening times before visiting attractions, particularly in winter months when opening hours are reduced.

Please remember to check if the attractions or activities you are particularly interested in, are open at the time you purchase you pass or for the time period you intend to use it for.

There are currently two types of the Northern HighLights Pass available to choose from for adults and children.

Two Day Northern HighLights Pass £14.95 per adult / £7 per child
Five Day Northern HighLights Pass £29.95 per adult / £14 per child

When purchasing the 5-day pass, you pay a 4 day price and get the 5th day free!

We can provide you with either a digital or physical pass (you decide) including a map and visitor information about the area of North East Scotland

If you choose a digital pass this will be emailed to the address you provide us with instantly (with an electronic version of the map and visitor information)

 

If you would prefer a physical pass and a printed map and visitor information, this will be posted out to you at an additional supplement of £3.50 (UK) £5 (International) Please allow 5 working days for mainland UK deliveries and 10 working days for international postage.

The Northern Highlights Pass currently includes 30+ NE Scotland attractions.

Know Before You Go

No not all the attractions are open all year as some are closed in the winter and over the Christmas period. We advise it is best to check the opening times for each attraction before you visit.

No the pass does not cover public transport, however for those looking to hire a car during their visit, there is a special offer featuring 15% discount with the car company Sixt, included in the Pass

This offer extends to any Sixt UK pick up point, providing great flexibility for planning and touring.

Northern Highlights Passes purchased now, are valid up until 31st December 2021.

However please check the opening hours, terms and conditions of any participating businesses that you are maybe interested in.

Yes,­­­ you can buy a pass as a gift, passes are not named. Please be aware of the expiry terms.

No, we don’t offer a discount for group purchases.
