Spend a day exploring the stunning countryside of Royal Deeside at World Horse Welfare Belwade Farm.  You can meet the 65+ horses and ponies currently being rehabilitated at the centre, find out more about the work of the charity and enjoy fantastic paddock walks to see the horses out in the fields. 

You can also enjoy the fabulous nature walks which can be as long or as short as you choose.  They include woodlands and the banks of the River Dee with photography opportunities at every turn and there is even a Stone Circle for you to explore.

Lunch is available in our “Highland Bistro” which offers a menu to suit all tastes and uses locally sourced products.  The terrace has fantastic views down to the river and the vast forests beyond – a truly spectacular setting which you will remember as one of the highlights of your visit to Aberdeenshire. 

Open Wednesday  – Sunday 11am – 4pm

Admission to walking around the Belwade grounds and gardens costs £3 per person (under 5’s go free). Book on the website  www.worldhorsewelfare.org/visit-us

Should you wish to visit just for lunch, afternoon tea or the gift shop there is no admission charge.

The Bistro & Visitor Centre are open all year Wednesday-Sunday, from 10am to 4pm, and admission is free.

Belwade Farm reserves the right to cancel or postpone a tour in the event of severe weather conditions or other instance that may cause safety issues.

Participants are responsible for being at the facility before the start time.  We are unable to wait for late attendees so you would need to join in at whatever stage the tour was at when you arrived.

Bookings are confirmed by email at time of booking and payment.

Ticket purchases become non refundable from 14 days before date booked.  If you choose to cancel before the 14th day you will be refunded minus our administration fee.  Cancellations should be made in writing by email or letter by the person who made the booking.

Belwade Farm will provide a safety brief to all attendees before visiting the farm.  Participants (aged 10+) must comply with safety instruction provided.

Maximum booking of 20 online.  However larger groups can be accommodated by telephone booking.

Belwade Farm is home to around 65 horses in need at any one time. Here they can undergo rehabilitation before finding loving new homes through World Horse Welfare’s rehoming scheme. The tour will last approximately an hour and a half, you will then visit Belwade Bistro for a delicious Scottish themed afternoon tea, where you will have the opportunity to chat through the experience with other attendees and ask any further questions that you may have.

Your tour guide will cover history, our international work, our campaigns, our work right here in the UK, the role of Belwade Farm, meeting the horses and much more.
